Immerse yourself in a highly regarded neuro-cardiac unit renowned for its supportive staff and advanced clinical practice. You'll collaborate in a teaching hospital environment, engaging with talented colleagues and precepting students or new hires, further enhancing your leadership and mentoring abilities. Your exposure to complex patient populations and trauma level II cases will provide both variety and professional growth, broadening your nursing expertise and strengthening your resume.

Schedule & Hours:

  • 13-week assignment starting June 1 or June 15 (bi-weekly orientation)
  • 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 am 7:00 pm
  • Guaranteed 36 hours/week (optional 48 hours upon request)
  • Three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday
  • First to float within skillset across nearby campuses with notice

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Active compact RN license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum two years strong Tele/Med-Surg and trauma level II experience, with at least one travel assignment
  • Recent EPIC charting proficiency
  • Solid neuro assessment, tele/12-lead EKG interpretation & ability to initiate/titrate drips
  • Must pass tele tests; robust assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Preferred: Charge nurse experience, NG/PEG tubes, PIV insertion, chest tube, Tikosyn

Responsibilities:

  • Provide elite care to complex Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
  • Recover post-cardiac cath, CVA/TIA, oncology, and surgical cases
  • Float within Chandler and nearby campuses as needed
  • Precept students/new hires and foster a collaborative learning environment
