Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical specialty experience to contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical (RN-MS) expertise
  • Minimum of 2 years of core nursing experience relevant to the specialty
  • Level I trauma experience and background in a teaching hospital environment
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred, especially in Emergency Department or Neuro ICU settings
  • Proficiency with Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
  • Candidate must be able to pass a Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam within 24-48 hours prior to assignment acceptance
  • Must meet specific facility requirements such as natural hair color and no facial piercings

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care in line with hospital standards for medical-surgical patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital setting
  • Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
  • Support the education of nursing students as this is a teaching hospital
  • Adhere strictly to facility guidelines and protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance

Contract Details:

  • Assignment duration is a minimum of 13 weeks
  • Weekly orientations available on Mondays, excluding holiday weeks
  • Strict onboarding completion deadline prior to start date
  • Candidates cannot hold another simultaneous contract while assigned here
  • Travel nurses should have a personal vehicle for transportation and parking arrangements
