Schedule & Hours

• 13-week travel assignment
• 12-hour night shifts (NOC)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (except during holidays or unit closures)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Active IL RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be current)
• Minimum 2 years strong Med Surg/TELE experience
• At least 1 completed travel assignment
• Neuro experience is required
• Recent EPIC charting experience
• Proficiency with NIHSS/dysphagia screening, neuro assessments, telemetry interpretation, and advanced RN skills (IVs, blood administration, drains, heparin titration, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide care for neuro and neuro-surgical patients, plus medical overflow
• Demonstrate excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Float to medical units when needed
• Work collaboratively within a 1:4 nurse-patient ratio; Charge RNs carry patient loads
