Job Description

Deliver expert nursing care as an experienced Med/Surg RN with strong neuro assessment and telemetry skills in a dynamic 32-bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit. This travel nursing opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where accurate telemetry interpretation is essential for patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to orthopedic, neuro, and medical overflow patients.
  • Accurately read and interpret telemetry strips to monitor cardiac status.
  • Manage patient care with a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:6 depending on shift.
  • Float to applicable units within the hospital as needed.
  • Document care using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Work across rotating shifts that may include days, evenings, and nights; night shifts remain fixed for consistent scheduling.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
  • Proficiency in neuro assessments and telemetry monitoring.
  • Current Massachusetts RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to floating and rotating shift requirements with flexibility.

Schedule & Location:

  • Located in Cambridge, MA, a vibrant city known for its rich history, diverse culture, and excellent dining and entertainment.
  • Rotating day shifts (7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a), night shifts fixed.
  • 36 hours per week, including every other weekend coverage.
