Job Description
An exciting nursing opportunity is available for skilled professionals with medical-surgical experience. This position supports inpatient care teams and is ideal for experienced RNs who enjoy dynamic, fast-paced environments with the ability to float to similar units as needed.
Schedule:
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Massachusetts RN license
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency in Telemetry and Meditech
- Ability to pass a Tele test on the first day of orientation
- 2024/2025 flu vaccine must be completed prior to start
- Flexibility to float to similar units as hospital needs dictate
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding swiftly to clinical changes
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech
- Support a patient-centered environment, promoting comfort and safety at all times
- Adapt to unit needs, including floating within scope of practice
