Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts every 6 weeks
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday coverage: one shift for each major winter holiday
- Schedule cycle runs every 6 weeks
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
- BLS required, ACLS preferred (must pass EKG competency during onboarding)
- Certification in med-surg a plus
- 6 months of EPIC EMR experience
- Strong assessment & time management abilities
- Proficient with trach care, chest tube management, PIV/IV skills, and glucommander
- Telemetry competence (monitoring/interpreting rhythms, post-cath care)
- Drip management experience: insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine
- Open to travelers new to travel nursing
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for med/surg and cardiac patients, including post-surgical and trauma cases
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for discharge planning and patient education
- Float to all Med/Tele units in-house as needed
- Utilize EPIC for charting and patient management
- Engage in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
