This role places you in a 35-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit, serving patients with orthopedic and trauma injuries, post-operative conditions, and complex co-morbidities. The facility supports your development with resources like 24/7 RTs, hospitalists, and intensivists, along with a supportive unit culture focused on teamwork. EPIC EMR, state-of-the-art monitoring, and top-tier medical technology enrich your day-to-day practice, preparing you for any future career move.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle
• Holiday coverage: one major holiday per season

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years recent Med/Tele experience
• BLS required; ACLS and national specialty certification preferred
• Demonstrated ability with cardiac monitoring, EKG competency, and strong med-surg skills
• Experience with trach care, chest tube management, IV insertion/care, central line management, glucommander, insulin and heparin drips
• Proficiency in patient education, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary coordination

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for medical-surgical, telemetry, and trauma patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and manage complex post-op patients
• Collaborate in care coordination and discharge planning
• Float to other adult MedSurg/Tele units as needed
