Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Rotating every 6 weeks
- Expect to work 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- No on-call responsibility
- Holiday rotation: one major holiday per cycle
- Flexibility for time-off requests per approval
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele RN experience (first-time travelers welcome!)
- BLS certification required
- BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) competencymust pass EKG exam
- ACLS certification preferred
- National Med-Surg or Nephrology certification preferred
- Strong skills in: trach care, chest tube management, IV and central line care, wound care, telemetry, insulin/heparin drips, care coordination
- Proficiency with EMR (EPIC) and advanced hospital technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive assessment and care for diverse medical/surgical and trauma patients
- Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Coordination with interdisciplinary teams for effective care planning and patient education
- Discharge planning, particularly for patients managing renal or fluid imbalances
- Floating to a variety of adult Med/Surg/Tele units as needed
