Expand your experience in an environment with 637 licensed beds, where youll encounter complex patient cases including orthopedic and trauma injuries, head traumas, post-op care, and chronic disease management. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary teamhospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and robust support staffwill challenge and sharpen your med-surg and telemetry skills. Youll adapt to a variety of workplace practices and leadership styles, deepening your clinical knowledge and boosting your career trajectory.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license and current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg and Telemetry RN experience
- BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) and successful completion of EKG competency
- First-time travelers are welcome
- ACLS and national certification (medical-surgical or nephrology) preferred
- Proficient with trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin and heparin drips
- Strong IV skills, wound care, cardiac telemetry interpretation, and interdisciplinary care coordination
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to acutely ill adult patients
- Monitor patients with advanced equipment including EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Phillips monitors
- Manage cardiac telemetry, support discharge planning, and provide patient/family education, particularly in fluid management
- Participate in unit culture emphasizing teamwork and adaptability; float to adult med-surg/tele units as needed
Schedule & Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
- Rotating weekends (5-6 shifts per 6-week cycle)
- Holiday shift participation required
