Facility Highlights:

• 637-bed teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma, Chest Pain, and Stroke Center designations
• MedSurg/Tele unit serving orthopedic trauma, post-op surgical, and complex medical patients
• State-of-the-art technology including EPIC EMR, advanced telemetry, and dedicated support teams

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
• Rotating weekends (5-6 per 6-week cycle)
• Holiday rotation: one shift per major holiday block
• No call requirements

What Will Expand Your Professional Profile:

• Dynamic patient assignments: 1:4-6 nurse ratio
• Comprehensive duties: clinical assessment, tele interpretation, IV starts, wound & chest tube care, PIV, and central line management
• Collaboration with a full spectrum of support staffCNA, unit secretary, resource nurses, and 24/7 hospitalist/intensivist teams
• Use of advanced equipment such as Nova Glucose Stat Strips, VS3 monitors, portable oxygen, PCA pumps, and more
• Opportunities to float throughout adult med/surg and telemetry units, gaining adaptability and broad clinical experience
• Fast-paced environment with a strong team culture and rapid admission/discharge protocols

Required Experience & Credentials:

• Active RN license, with a minimum of 2 years Med/Tele experience
• BLS and Basic Cardiac Rhythm required (must pass EKG competency); ACLS & national certifications preferred
• Skilled in trach care, insulin & heparin drips, clinical assessment, care coordination, discharge planning
