This travel nursing opportunity allows you to further your expertise in med-surg/tele within a nationally recognized Level 1 Trauma facility. Work alongside interdisciplinary leaders and learn from a variety of clinical teams, ideal for broadening both your resume and practical skills. Exposure to diverse healthcare delivery approaches and state-of-the-art technology like EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Phillips monitors will enhance your adaptability and professional confidence.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12
- Flexible 6-week schedule cycle
- Holidays: work one shift per major holiday (Thanksgiving/December holidays/New Year)
- No on-call responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Active RN license and BLS required
- Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) competencyEKG exam required
- 2+ years of experience in med-surg/tele
- Telemetry experience; cardiac monitoring proficiency
- Strong IV insertion, wound care, and post-op experience
- National certification (med-surg/nephrology) preferred
- ACLS preferred
- Open to first-time travelers with solid fundamentals
Responsibilities:
- Care for orthopedic, trauma, and chronic/acute disease patients
- Coordinate post-op, discharge planning, and patient education, especially on renal/fluid management
- Collaborate with CNAs, resource teams, and interdisciplinary units
- Document care in EPIC; manage IVs, chest tubes, and central lines
- Rotate to other adult med-surg/tele units as needed
