Advance your nursing career with a dynamic Med/Surg and Telemetry team, providing high-quality care in a major teaching and trauma hospital. This opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and collaborating within an experienced, supportive staff environment.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday rotation: at least one major holiday per cycle
• No on-call requirements
• Contract role; floating required to all Med/Tele units as needed

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (must pass EKG competency on onboarding)
• Strong assessment and time management skills
• Proficient with trach care, chest tube management, initiating and titrating common drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, etc.)
• Competence in PIV starts/maintenance, glucommander, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and post-cath patient care
• Care coordination and discharge planning experience
• Med/Surg certification a plus
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute or chronic conditions, post-surgical and cardiac issues
• Monitor, interpret, and document telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately
• Initiate and manage IV medications and infusions within established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care coordination and patient education
• Participate actively in unit culture promoting teamwork and quality outcomes
• Float between Med/Surg and Tele units as needed, adapting to varying acuity and patient needs

$1,579 - $1,728/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
