An exciting opportunity to provide expert nursing care is available for experienced RNs on a fast-paced medical/surgical telemetry unit. This role offers a dynamic environment catering to patients with complex conditions including diabetes, kidney, liver, and heart failure, respiratory issues, stroke, and cardiac dysrhythmias. As a Registered Nurse, you will coordinate comprehensive patient care using evidence-based practices and clinical decision-making to ensure safety and exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and coordinate patient care on a telemetry unit with 32 beds
• Manage high patient turnover with 8-10 admissions and discharges daily
• Use clinical skills including wound care, insulin and heparin drips, tracheostomies, chest tubes, nasogastric and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with charge nurses, unit leadership, and clinical resource nurses for support
• Perform telemetry monitoring in a centralized system with tele tech support
• Maintain compliance with established standards and procedures to promote patient safety

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1-year nursing experience in med/surg or telemetry
• Current BLS certification
• Familiarity with managing complex patient care needs such as diabetes management and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience with high patient-to-nurse ratios (Day: 1:5, Night: 1:6) and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Capability to float to MST or overflow units as needed

Schedule:

• Three 12-hour day shifts (07:0019:30)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
