This travel assignment for an RN specializing in Medical-Surgical nursing offers the unique advantage of engaging with diverse inpatient populations, and, ideally, the dynamic pace of Emergency Department patients as well. Experience firsthand a variety of leadership methodologies and innovative nursing practices, broadening your clinical knowledge and enhancing your resume. With every shift, you'll be sharpening your critical thinking and adaptability, building confidence and expanding your professional expertise.
Schedule:
- 7:00p 7:30a shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation
Essential Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Strong background in Medical-Surgical nursing
- Confidence in managing general inpatient acuity and patient holding
- Prefer experience with Emergency Department patients
- Excellent communication skills and patient advocacy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients in inpatient holds, ensuring safety and comfort
- Manage patient admissions, transfers, and care transitions efficiently
- Collaborate effectively with other nursing staff, providers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt to fluctuating patient acuity and pacing in both Med-Surg and, when applicable, ED settings
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and accurately
