Schedule/Hours:
- 7PM 7AM, full-time
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
What You Will Do:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care, utilizing the full nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation) for MedSurg patients
- Respond to the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, working independently and collaboratively
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and overall effectiveness
- Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and treatments
- Provide education and support to patients and their loved ones, identifying unique learning needs and available resources
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks within the care team to optimize patient care and manage clinical situations
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of employment or compact license
- BLS certification from AHA (required)
- Minimum 1 year of MedSurg experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Familiarity with nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 5:1 or 6:1)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ceil blue scrubs required
