Be a part of a dedicated team within a busy 37-bed medical telemetry unit, gaining hands-on expertise with complex cardiac and medical patients. Expand your clinical knowledge as you care for individuals with conditions such as CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism, pneumonia, and more, including post-procedural patients and those with multi-system needs.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Free on-site parking
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience, preferably in Med/Surg Telemetry
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- AHA BLS Certification and Telemetry Certification
- Proficient in reading and interpreting tele strips
- Familiarity with cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, Heparin
- Experience caring for post-cardiac cath and post-pacemaker patients is a plus
- Willingness to float to similar units if needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac, medical, and occasional surgical needs
- Monitor and administer cardiac and intravenous drips; accurately interpret telemetry readings
- Document patient status and care in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participating in continued education and cross-training
