Job Description

A nursing role is available for an experienced RN with telemetry and neuro assessment skills in Boston, MA. This travel position offers the opportunity to provide care on a specialized 32-bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit, where technical expertise and patient-focused care are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage care for elective orthopedic and neuro surgical patients, as well as other medical overflows.
  • Interpret telemetry strips accuratelythis skill is critical for success in this role.
  • Work within a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:6 depending on shift, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Float to other applicable units when requested.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation.
  • Adapt to rotating shifts if assigned to days (7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a). Night shifts remain consistent.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Massachusetts RN license.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Med/Surg RN, including neuro assessment and telemetry competency.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips is a must.
