Job Description

Provide expert nursing care in a specialized medical cardiology unit focused on telemetry and cardiac patients. This role requires proficiency in reading telemetry strips and managing cardiac drips, supporting post-catheterization care including PCI, ICD, PPM, ablation procedures, and care involving TR band and femoral approach.

Location: Based in Boston, MA, this position supports a 24-bed telemetry medical cardiology unit known for its comprehensive cardiac patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret telemetry strips to assess patient cardiac status continuously.
  • Administer and manage cardiac drips according to established protocols.
  • Provide post-procedural care for patients undergoing catheterization, PCI, ICD, PPM, and ablation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate changes in patient condition promptly.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and active Massachusetts RN license.
  • Certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with a strong clinical background in cardiology.
  • Demonstrated ability to read telemetry strips and manage cardiac drips effectively.
  • Experience with post-cardiac catheterization care and related procedures.

Schedule:

  • 36 hours per week with rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, and every other weekend.
