Advance your career as a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry care within a dynamic hospital environment in Boston. This contract opportunity is designed for professionals with solid travel nursing backgrounds and a desire to contribute their expertise on night shifts.
Shift Details:
- Nights, 7:00 pm 7:30 am
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts RN license in good standing
- Active BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Minimum of 3 years experience in medical-surgical/telemetry settings
- Demonstrated expertise in telemetry nursing and use of Meditech
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to float to similar units as needed
- Successful completion of tele test during orientation
- 2024/2025 flu vaccination required before start
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, utilizing current evidence-based practices
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to patient needs
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate optimal patient care
- Document in Meditech electronic health record system accurately and efficiently
- Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families
- Float to similar units as assigned due to changing patient census or acuity
