This travel assignment offers an exceptional opportunity to work in an Ortho Neuro Trauma Care Center on a dynamic night shift. Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 hours guaranteed weekly (option for 48 hours upon request)
  • 12-hour nights, 6:30 PM 7:00 AM
  • Three weekends per six-week schedule
  • Every other holiday
  • Flexibility to float within campus and neighboring facilities with advance notice

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to trauma, orthopedic, and neuro patients, including those with complex injuries and postoperative needs
  • Perform strong neuro assessments; log roll patients and apply assistive devices (back brace, immobilizer)
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, PIV insertion, and stepdown care
  • Promote a positive learning environment, precepting students and new hires as needed
  • Collaborate efficiently during intra-campus float assignments
  • Prioritize patient safety, evidence-based care, and effective communication

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active compact RN license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience; at least one year in ortho/neuro/trauma & one travel assignment
  • Trauma level II background
  • Recent EPIC charting experience
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and resilience required
  • Willingness to support and mentor
