Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 hours by request)
• Three weekends per six-week schedule, alternating holidays
• 13-week assignment with bi-weekly orientation
• Float within skillset across nearby campuses with advance notice

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted compact RN license
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Minimum two years of recent Cardiac/Telemetry experience
• At least one prior travel assignment
• Trauma Level II experience strongly preferred
• Recent EPIC charting proficiency
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and adaptability
• Proficiency in 12-lead EKG and telemetry interpretation, initiating/titrating drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, Amiodarone), and managing complex patient populations

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional care for high-acuity Cardiac, Telemetry, and Med-Surg patients
• Accurately interpret EKGs and manage cardiac drips
• Insert PIVs, manage chest tubes/drains, and handle nephrostomy tubes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and occasionally precept students or new hires in a teaching environment
• Float between units and campuses as needed, with support and communication
