This role promises professional enrichment through collaboration with seasoned colleagues, adapting to established protocols, and possibly mentoring newer nurses or students. You'll bolster your resume with trauma level II and high-acuity tele/med-surg experience, while flexing your adaptability by floating between nearby campuses as needed.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:30pm - 7:00am
- Rotating weekends: work three out of every six weekends; alternating holidays
- 36 hours/week guaranteed (option for 48 hours available upon request)
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active unencumbered compact RN license
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (submit upon application)
- At least 2 years of recent, strong Cardiac/Tele experience, including trauma level II
- Minimum of one previous travel assignment
- Proficient with EPIC charting
- Must pass Tele competency exam upon hire
- Demonstrated expertise in 12-lead EKG interpretation, titration/administration of antiarrhythmic/antidysrhythmic drips, and management of nephrostomy tubes, chest drains, and PIVs
- Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
- Social, adaptable, and ready to support unit needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to high acuity cardiac and renal patients
- Interpret EKGs and administer/titrate relevant medications and drips
- Support and potentially precept students or new staff
- Float between units/campuses as required
- Maintain flexibility amidst changing patient and staffing needs
