12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)

  • Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts out of 12 in a 6-week cycle
  • Must be flexible to float between all Med/Tele units and occasionally to the ED

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license (BLS required; ACLS preferredwill be required to pass an EKG competency exam at onboarding)
  • Minimum 2 years Med/Surg or Tele RN experience (first-time travelers welcome)
  • 6 months EPIC EMR experience required
  • Strong clinical assessment, time management, and care coordination skills
  • Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and management of a variety of drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine)
  • Experience with trach care, chest tube management, and discharge planning

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive care for a diverse med/surg and telemetry patient population
  • Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, respiratory therapists, and the unit resource team
  • Float as needed to support fluctuating census in all Med/Tele units
  • Document using EPIC, monitor drips, initiate IVs, and participate in patient education and discharge planning
