Schedule/Hours
- 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts every 6 weeks
- No on-call requirements
- Work one shift each major holiday
- Schedule cycles every 6 weeks
Qualifications
- Minimum two years recent medical-surgical/telemetry RN experience
- BLS certification required; must pass EKG competency test (BCR)
- ACLS and national certification (Med-Surg or Nephrology) preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, IV insertion, wound care, and telemetry interpretation skills
- Proficient in trach care, chest tube management, insulin and heparin drips
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive assessment and management of trauma, post-op, and chronic patients
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams for seamless care
- Discharge planning and patient education, especially on renal and fluid balance
- Maintain detailed and accurate records with Epic EMR
- Participate in hospital-wide floating as needed
