Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible 12-hour shifts: Either 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Cycled scheduling every 6 weeks
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts per 6-week schedule
• No on-call required
• Expectations to cover one shift per major holiday

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• BLS certification required
• Must pass a Basic Cardiac Rhythm (EKG) assessment
• ACLS and national certifications (Medical-Surgical or Nephrology) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and med-surg skills at a high-acuity facility
• Competency: trach care, chest tubes, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin and heparin drips, IV insertion/care, central line management, wound care, cardiac monitoring, and telemetry interpretation

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to patients with orthopedic/trauma injuries, acute and chronic diseases, and post-op recovery
• Manage cardiac telemetry and high patient acuity
• Coordinate discharge and patient education, with emphasis on renal and fluid management
• Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
