This assignment offers exceptional variety, as you care for diverse patient populations across MedSurg/Telemetry and step into a team-oriented environment renowned for excellence. Professionals here work closely with experienced colleaguesincluding 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalists, intensivists, and a resourceful float poolensuring robust support and cultivating leadership and innovation in patient care. Youll expand your resume working with advanced technology (EPIC EMR, Philips monitors, Alaris pumps), unit-specific equipment, and by floating to all Med/Tele units, further strengthening your adaptability and nursing expertise.
Schedule/Hours
- Rotating schedule; float to various MedSurg/Tele units as patient needs dictate
Key Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (must pass EKG competency during onboarding)
- Proficiency in trach care, chest tube management, IV starts, glucometer use
- Strong competence with cardiac drips (Insulin, Heparin, HR titration)
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred
- MedSurg certification and previous travel experience are plusesbut first-time travelers welcomed!
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care across various MedSurg/Telemetry settings
- Float as needed to maintain optimal patient ratios and acuity balance
- Initiate cardiac drips, intravenous therapy, and monitor complex medical conditions
- Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and the resource team for patient safety and comfort
- Complete documentation and medication administration per hospital protocols
