Deliver expert patient care in a dynamic 30-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit at a Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital recognized for its Chest Pain and Stroke Centers. This contract RN opportunity in Bonaire, GA offers the chance to provide critical nursing services supporting patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions including heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-op cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and deliver skilled nursing care for med-surg and telemetry patients
• Manage IV starts, central lines, tracheostomy care, chest tubes, wound and post-op care
• Conduct cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation, including use of glucommander and titration of insulin/heparin drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care coordination, discharge planning, and patient education focusing on renal and fluid management
• Maintain patient safety through diligent monitoring, Foley catheter care, and coordination with unit support staff

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience required; open to first-time travelers
• Required: Active RN license and BLS certification; Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) competency exam required upon hire
• Preferred: ACLS and Medical-Surgical nursing certification
• Proficient in EMR systems, preferably EPIC, and experienced with cardiac telemetry and critical care equipment
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekends every 6 weeks
• Work one major holiday shift per holiday cycle
• No on-call duties; manager-approved time-off requests
