This contract opportunity calls for an experienced RN with Med/Surg and Telemetry expertise to provide care across multiple med/tele units within a busy teaching hospital, renowned as a Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts per 12 in a 6-week cycle
• No call required
• Holiday coverage includes one shift for each major holiday (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 2 years direct Med/Surg and Telemetry experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (pass/fail on EKG competency exam required during onboarding)
• Strong proficiency with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Skilled in trach care, chest tube management, IV starts/maintenance, and titrating critical drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine)
• Comprehensive experience with interdisciplinary care coordination, discharge planning, and patient education
• EPIC EMR experience a plus
• Certification in med surg is a bonus

Role Overview:

• Deliver care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, including cardiac and post-surgical needs
• Work within nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-6, supported by CNAs, unit secretary, and a resource/discharge support team
• Responsible for monitoring, medication administration, and patient/family education
• Float as needed to all Med/Tele units, ensuring broad exposure and collaboration hospital-wide

$1,579 - $1,728/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
