Job Description
Deliver skilled nursing care in a dynamic MedSurg/Telemetry setting at a leading Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Bonaire, GA. This contract role offers an opportunity to enhance your clinical expertise in a busy environment, supporting a variety of inpatient medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse with 2+ years MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred and must pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding
- Proficiency in cardiac drips including insulin, heparin, and drips titrated to heart rate (MUST BE PROFICIENT IN ALL CARDIAC DRIPSS)
- Skills in tracheostomy care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucometer use
- MedSurg certification is a plus
- First-time travelers welcome

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult MedSurg and Telemetry patients with varied diagnoses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists available 24/7
- Float across multiple MedSurg/Tele units as needed, contributing to flexible staffing needs
- Utilize EPIC EMR and advanced medical technology such as Philips monitors, VS3 vital sign monitors, and Nova Glucose Stat Strips
- Work alongside unit secretaries, charge nurses, CNAs, and support staff to ensure efficient patient care delivery
Additional Information:
- Patient ratios: RN 1:4-6, LPN 1:4-6, CNA up to 1:14
- Orientation includes 1-day facility tour plus departmental training
- Scrubs: Navy for RNs; free or paid parking options available
