Schedule & Hours

  • Shift: 1845-0715 (overnight)
  • Guaranteed weekly hours: 36
  • Every other weekend required
  • Cancellation possible up to 3 times per contract

Qualifications

  • Valid RN Licensure, BLS and NIHSS (AHA only; all active at submission)
  • Minimum 2 years recent acute care RN experience
  • Demonstrated experience in neuro/post-stroke care, dysphagia screening, stroke assessments, BCMA, time management, and interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Willingness to float to other acute care units/facilities within 25-mile radius
  • Professional, adaptable, and patient-focused

Preferred

  • TR band management experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional care to a 24-bed med/surg and neuro acute care unit with a typical nurse-patient ratio of 1:6
  • Perform thorough neuro assessments and support stroke recovery
  • Execute dysphagia screenings and medication administration
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Document care in Cerner EMR
  • Maintain compliance with dress code, infection control, and safety policies
