A nursing opportunity is available for a registered nurse with med-surg and cardiology experience to provide high-quality patient care on a 30-bed acute care floor. This contract position offers a chance to care for diverse patients including those undergoing pre- and post-heart catheterization, as well as general cardiology and med-surg cases.

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Care for patients with cardiac and med-surg conditions, including pre- and post-heart cath patients
• Maintain patient safety and provide skilled nursing interventions in a 1:6 patient ratio environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and communication
• Float to other units as needed with flexibility and professionalism
• Adhere to the units standards on 2 West with a focus on compassion and clinical excellence

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience in med-surg; cardiology experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Acute care skills and familiarity with standard acute care equipment
• Strong communication skills, dependable, and able to adapt to feedback
• Comfortable working evening PM shifts including every other weekend

Schedule & Shift:

• PM Shift
• 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• Every other weekend required

Additional Information:

• Scrubs: Navy color required
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 6:1
