Join a healthcare team providing exceptional care in the Medical-Surgical/Post Surgical unit at a regional medical center in Auburn, ME. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to patient recovery through skilled nursing practices and compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments on admission and continuously throughout their stay.
- Involve patients and caregivers in developing and updating individualized care plans.
- Administer IV medications, IV therapy, and blood components following clinical protocols.
- Ensure patient safety by applying restraints or seclusion when necessary, demonstrating competency in assessment and monitoring.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license with experience in Medical-Surgical or Post Surgical nursing preferred (minimum 1 year).
- BLS certification required.
- Competency in restraint and seclusion procedures, including patient monitoring and care, validated by your current agency.
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
- No previous employment with the hospital.
- No licensure challenges or actions on license; candidates with background or licensure hits will not be considered.
Additional Details:
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week contract.
