Job Description

Provide expert care on a high-acuity surgery trauma floor specializing in spinal, neuro, and trauma patients. This role focuses on delivering skilled nursing to a critical patient population including gunshot wounds, quadriplegics, and paraplegics within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical and trauma patients
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes
  • Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation and communication
  • Adhere strictly to BLS requirements; ACLS certification preferred

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license with at least 2 years experience in surgery trauma or neuro spine nursing
  • Proven skill in managing high acuity patients with trauma and complex surgical needs
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
  • Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system is mandatory
  • Ability to work given shifts as scheduled; no block scheduling or return to office (RTO) obligations
  • Comprehensive candidate profile including work history/resume with no gaps >60 days, skills checklist, references, certification cards, Nursys license verification, demographic info, and a badge-appropriate photo
