Exciting opportunity available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a dedicated Med/Surg team focused on renal care, serving adult and geriatric patients. This contract role involves working with a passionate group of professionals in a dynamic hospital environment. Youll care for patients with a variety of conditions, including those requiring hemodialysis catheter management, manual and cycler peritoneal dialysis, sepsis management, telemetry monitoring, CIWA protocol, UTI, CKD, and hypertensive emergencies.
Schedule:
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 19:00)
- Every other weekend required, unless noted otherwise
- Floating within similar units as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 2 years of nursing experience
- Accepting candidates new to travel assignments
- BLS certification required
- Strong Med/Surg skill set with renal care focus
- Experience with HD cath management, manual PD/PD cycler, and sepsis protocols highly preferred
- Competent in telemetry monitoring and using Epic, Pyxis, SBAR systems
- Comfortable caring for adult through geriatric populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care for a diverse Med/Surg renal-focused patient population
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain detailed and accurate records within Epic systems
- Safely manage patient assignments with a patient/nurse ratio of 1:6
- Collaborate and adapt in a fast-paced environment, including floating when necessary
Additional Details:
- Navy, white, or combination scrubs required

- Must complete facility compliance and orientation process
