Working in a high-performing medical-surgical environment, youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 2 Trauma Center. Exposure to nationally recognized care practices and a range of patient populations will enhance your clinical expertise, helping you build a resume that stands out. Youll enjoy robust support, flexible scheduling (with guaranteed hours), and a sense of community, all while expanding your skills and professional network.

Schedule

  • 13-week assignment
  • Day shift: 0700-1930
  • 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must specify on submission)
  • Every other weekend as required
  • Orientation scheduled during day shift

Key Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Missouri or eligibility for licensure
  • BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS from AHA preferred
  • Minimum 1 year inpatient Med Surg experience
  • Experience with neuro patients preferred
  • Strong communication and patient assessment skills
  • Willingness to float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
  • Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required (November 1April 1)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Coordinate with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
  • Maintain professional accountability, uphold patient rights, and ensure confidentiality
  • Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered care environment guided by best practices
