This contract nursing opportunity is based in Arlington, TX, providing care in a specialized Gastrointestinal (GI) unit. The role offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on endoscopy procedures and critical patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a GI unit with two endoscopy rooms.
- Assist with procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, PEG, Bronchoscopy, and EBUS.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1 ensuring personalized and attentive care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, techs, and charge nurses.
- Adhere to hospital policies and unit guidelines, including rotating on-call responsibilities.
- Participate in weekday on-call shifts starting at 3:15 PM and 24-hour weekend on-call coverage approximately 15 days per month.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI nursing setting is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong accountability, leadership skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Additional Details:
- Hospital-provided scrubs.
- EMR system: Meditech.
- Work schedule includes day shifts with rotating on-call responsibilities.
