Take on a rewarding position within a busy medical/surgical unit, working night shifts (5:30 pm start) every weekend for a 13-week contract. Youll gain insight into varied clinical leadership styles and expand your skillset by floating throughout the facility and potentially to other area locations within a 60-mile radius. This role promises significant professional growth as it challenges you to adapt to new teams, sharpen your EPIC charting proficiency, and manage diverse patient populationsincluding pre- and post-cardiac cases and COVID care. The experience youll gain here is invaluable, broadening your scope and enhancing your resume with each shift.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts, every weekend
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Holidays as needed
Qualifications:
- Current Wisconsin RN license and AHA BLS certification
- At least 3 years RN experience with 1 prior travel contract
- EPIC charting experience within the last year
- Strong adaptability, resilience, and teamwork skills
- Previous experience with Med/Surg, pre/post cath, post pacemaker, and TR Bands required
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to medical/surgical patients, including occasional pediatric cases
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6, working closely with support staff (LPNs/CNAs)
- Float as needed within skillset to units or locations within 60 miles
- Manage complex cases with competence and efficiency
