Skills and Experience Required:
- Valid and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) nursing setting
- Proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, wound care, medication administration, and documentation
- Adaptable to fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities
- Current BLS certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations with medical and surgical needs
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as required
- Collaborate closely with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on their conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge instructions
- Accurately document all care provided in electronic health records, maintaining compliance with regulatory and institutional policies
- Respond effectively to changes in patient status and emergency situations
