A nursing opportunity is available for skilled Registered Nurses with Med Surg Telemetry experience in Alexandria, LA. This contract position offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care and continuous professional growth.

Location Details:
Situated in Alexandria, this facility provides essential healthcare services in a well-equipped medical center. The assigned unit is located on the 3 South floor of the South Tower, featuring 36 beds staffed by a dedicated team of 32 healthcare professionals. The unit maintains patient ratios of 6 to 1 and utilizes advanced medical equipment such as EKG machines, DynaMaps, bladder scanners, vein finders, and telemetry systems. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the Med Surg Telemetry unit
• Operate and monitor cardiac and telemetry equipment accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Manage time effectively to balance multiple patient needs in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and dress code (ceil blue scrubs)

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Must have prior experience in Med Surg Telemetry nursing
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records system required
• Strong critical thinking and time management skills preferred
• Positive, friendly, and helpful attitude suited for a collaborative team environment
• Required certifications consistent with nursing standards and floating across Med Surg Tele floors

Schedule:

• Every other weekend or two full weekends per month on call support may be required
