This role places you in a modern facility recognized as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. Working alongside a supportive, positive, and team-oriented staff, you will encounter a diverse range of patient diagnoses and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time travel assignment
  • Flexible floating within the regional network as needed
  • Two days departmental orientation

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 18 months of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
  • Strong Med/Tele competencies: stroke care/NIH assessments, chest tube and trach management, IV/PIV and NGT skills, cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Proficiency in managing medication drips, cardiac medications, blood products, and PCA pumps

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver thoughtful, high-quality care to a variable census (caring for stroke, COPD, cardiac, and GI patients)
  • Accurately assess and manage clinical situations such as chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleeds
  • Float to various regional facilities based on need, broadening your repertoire and experience
  • Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams for integrated care
  • Utilize advanced EMR (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, and Philips monitoring systems
