This opportunity allows Registered Nurses to advance their skills in a Med/Surg and Neuro acute care environment. You'll strengthen your clinical acumen while learning from skilled leaders and diverse care teams, boosting your resume with specialized experience in neuro/post-stroke care, acute dysphagia screenings, and interdisciplinary communication. Floating opportunities within the acute care division across nearby facilities further expand your scope and adaptability.

Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week, 1845-0715 shift
• May be cancelled up to three times per contract
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• BLS and NIHSS certifications (AHA required; both must be current)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg and neuro acute care experience
• Skilled in neuro/post-stroke care, dysphagia screenings, stroke assessments, BCMA, and proficient time management
• Strong communication and adaptability
• Preferred: Experience with TR band management
• Professional, adaptable, and patient-centered approach

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to general medicine and post-stroke patients
• Perform accurate assessments, including dysphagia and stroke evaluations
• Document care electronically using Cerner EMR
• Float to other acute care units or facilities within 25 miles as needed
• Function collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
• Manage a 1:6 patient ratio using standard acute care equipment
