Job Description

Advance your nursing career in a dynamic and specialized outpatient radiology setting, supporting patients undergoing interventional radiology (IR) procedures. A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with demonstrated expertise in IR to join a dedicated team focused on high-quality care in a vibrant environment.

Schedule & Assignment:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 am 4:00 pm
  • 13-week contract
  • No local candidates within 50 miles due to assignment guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in interventional radiology nursing
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
  • Proficient in outpatient radiology settings, with direct experience in IR special procedures
  • Skilled in CT Coronary exam processes, including medication administration for heart rate regulation and nitroglycerin delivery
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing outpatient IR procedures
  • Monitor and regulate patient heart rates during CT Coronary exams, administering prescribed medication as appropriate
  • Deliver nitroglycerin and other medications per physician protocol
  • Assess, monitor, and respond to patient conditions during procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other nursing staff in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare standards
