Schedule/Hours:
- Day Shift
- On-Call Rotation, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications:
- Active IL RN Licensure (IDFPR)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience; at least 1 year in critical care
- Cardiovascular Intervention experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Successful completion of EKG test before orientation ends
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process and critical thinking to patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
- Complete thorough assessments, care planning, interventions, and evaluations
- Administer medications and treatments per policy and regulatory standards
- Document all care accurately and comprehensively
- Develop patient-specific care plans; educate patients and families as needed
- Participate in departmental quality improvement and shared governance activities
- Provide clinical guidance and support to related departments and resolve system challenges
- Embrace opportunities for professional development, evidence-based practice initiatives, and peer feedback
- For ambulatory/clinic settings: manage patient flow and conduct telephone triage
