As an Interventional Radiology RN in this dynamic setting, youll work alongside a diverse, multidisciplinary team providing specialized care to adults undergoing a wide array of interventional radiology proceduresranging from biopsies, ablations, and angiography to complex embolizations for trauma patients. This experience will strengthen your expertise in both routine and critical care scenarios, prepare you to practice advanced assessment skills, and allow you to directly contribute to cutting-edge care protocols. Exposure to new approaches and workflow techniques will greatly enrich your professional portfolio.
Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment with a variable schedule, details to be confirmed during the interview process.
Qualifications:
- Active NYS RN License required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Demonstrated telemetry experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology experience
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures and ensure safe, compassionate care throughout.
- Provide intra-procedural monitoring and post-procedure recovery, including PACU and extended-stay (23-hour) observation.
- Participate as a key member of the trauma and critical embolization response team.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, technologists, and other team members to deliver optimal patient-centered care.
- Comply with infection prevention measures including the use of hospital-issued and laundered scrubs.
