This position places you at the heart of a premier interventional radiology department where youll provide specialized care to adult patients undergoing a range of high-acuity proceduresincluding biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and trauma-related interventions. Collaborate closely with an expert multidisciplinary team and contribute your clinical expertise as part of the essential embolization response team, making a direct impact on critical care outcomes. Schedule/Hours:
- Variable hours dependent on procedural flow and patient needs
Qualifications:
- Active NYS RN License required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- At least 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology RN experience
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring
- Must comply with infection prevention: hospital-issued, laundered scrubs and additional PPE in procedural areas
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures
- Monitor and assist during intra-procedure and recovery (including PACU/23-hour observation)
- Respond as part of the trauma embolization team
- Deliver patient-centered, multidisciplinary care in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure adherence to strict infection prevention standards
