Schedule/Hours
- Day Shift position
- On-call rotation: Weeknights, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
- Active RN licensure in Illinois (IL Dept of Professional Regulation)
- Minimum of 3 years RN experience, including 1 year in critical care
- Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular Intervention experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (all required at time of submission)
- Ability to successfully pass an EKG test before completing orientation
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide top-tier patient care using the nursing process and critical thinking skills
- Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and provide patient/family education
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols
- Ensure meticulous and comprehensive documentation
- Participate in shared governance and departmental performance improvement initiatives
- Guide and support fellow staff, escalate care concerns appropriately, and troubleshoot systems breakdowns
- Commit to continuous professional development and peer feedback initiatives
- Help maintain optimal patient flow and respond to clinical inquiries
