Experience an engaging contract opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with a focus on Interventional Radiology Special Procedures. This position is based in an outpatient radiology setting, working alongside a dedicated radiology team to deliver specialized nursing care. Youll play a crucial role in supporting CT Coronary exams, regulating heart rates, and administering medications such as nitroglycerin.
Schedule & Duration:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- 13-week contract
- No local candidates within 50 miles
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience within Interventional Radiology
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Proficiency in OP Radiology, with hands-on experience in CT Coronary procedures
- Strong ability to regulate heart rates and administer related medications safely and accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a patient-focused environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform all RN duties in an outpatient radiology setting during special procedures, focusing on CT Coronary exams
- Monitor, assess, and regulate patient heart rates before, during, and after imaging
- Administer medications, including nitroglycerin and other agents as needed, under protocol
- Collaborate closely with radiology technologists, radiologists, and other clinicians to optimize patient safety and procedure outcomes
- Maintain detailed documentation and adhere to safety and compliance standards at all times
