Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic Interventional Radiology/Cardiology setting, focusing on minimally invasive procedures such as angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization. This contract role in Irrigon, OR, demands a collaborative approach to patient care alongside physicians and interdisciplinary teams, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout all interventions.
In this position, the nurse serves as a patient advocate and supervisor, overseeing personnel assigned to the unit while maintaining adherence to nursing processes, policies, and standards of care. Flexibility for on-call duties may be required to support the Interventional Unit as needed. Reporting lines include the Unit Nurse Manager, House Supervisor, or RN Team Leader.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program; evidence of ongoing education relevant to this specialty.
- Current RN licensure in Oregon.
- Minimum one year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or interventional radiology.
- Preferred: At least three years in interventional radiology or cath lab, conscious sedation training, and monitor role experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; specialized certifications such as RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale, and IV certification are beneficial.
- Skilled in operating infusion pumps, PCA pumps, and other medical equipment.
- Ability to deliver holistic care considering age, culture, physical, and psychosocial needs.
- Bilingual candidates (English-Spanish) are preferred to support a culturally diverse patient population.
