This contract position is ideal for registered nurses with a background in advanced cardiac and radiological procedures, looking to apply their knowledge in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab settings
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Competency in hemodynamic monitoring, sterile technique, and assisting with interventional procedures
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and time-management abilities
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology or cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, intervening promptly as needed
- Collaborate closely with medical providers, technologists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Prepare, assess, and educate patients and their support systems about procedures and post-procedure care
- Safeguard adherence to best practices in infection control and safety protocols
- Accurately document patient care activities and update records in a timely manner
