Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Active RN license required (New York State or compact eligible)
- 2+ years experience in Interventional Radiology or comparable acute care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Strong IV placement, moderate sedation, and patient assessment skills
- Excellent communication abilities and teamwork mindset
- Adaptable and quick to learn new protocols and technology
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with IR procedures including angiography, biopsies, drain placements, and venous access
- Monitor and care for patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedurally
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other medical professionals
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold patient safety protocols
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and aftercare
- Respond effectively to emergencies in a fast-paced environment
