Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a Registered Nurse specializing in Interventional Radiology (IR) within a dynamic outpatient radiology center. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your clinical skills in the support of CT Coronary exams and patient care.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology
- Certification in AHA BLS and ACLS required
- Demonstrated experience in IR special procedures, particularly with CT Coronary exams
- Proven ability to regulate heart rates and administer necessary medications, including nitroglycerin
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and provide direct care for patients undergoing special IR procedures, with a focus on outpatient CT Coronary studies
- Monitor, regulate, and document patient heart rates, responding proactively with medication administration as prescribed
- Safely administer nitroglycerin and other cardiac medications following protocol
- Collaborate closely with interventional radiologists, technologists, and fellow nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Uphold a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment
